Metro Community College Academies

Omaha Public Schools and Metropolitan Community College have partnered to offer students the Metro Community College Career Academies. The academies partnership provides junior and senior students with the opportunity to take courses not offered through Omaha Public Schools.

- Culinary Arts
- Diesel Technology
- Fire Science Technology
- HVAC
- Horticulture
- Pre-apprenticeship plumbing
- Prototype design
- Web development 3-d animation

Eligibility
Students eligible for this program must be:- a high school junior or senior on track to graduate
- be 16 years old
- have transportation to and from classes and internship/apprenticeship site
- complete an application and be selected to participate
Costs
All costs, including tuition and transportation, are the student's responsibility.Application Process
Interested students must complete an application. Metro Community College reviews all applicants and determines who can proceed with registration.Program booklet and application information will be available in late winter.
