Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS)
-
The Nebraska Department of Education statewide assessment system is the Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS). The NSCAS General Summative assessment measures student performance against Nebraska content standards, showing how learning compares to expectations.
Students in grades 3-8 and grade 11 are required to take Nebraska's state test called NSCAS. This test measures the grade-level standards students are learning in class. The test is untimed and students take this test online.More information is available on the Nebraska Department of Education website.
NSCAS Alternate Assessment
-
Some students may take the State Alternate Assessment instead of the general assessment. These tests are given to students who qualify based on their IEP. More information is available from the Nebraska Department of Education website.
