ACT

- Seniors are encouraged to take the ACT at the beginning of their senior year and juniors at the end of their junior year. Students qualifying for free/reduced lunch should see their assigned counselor for a fee waiver. Students are allowed 2 ACT fee waivers that can be used during junior and/or senior year. Colleges use your highest composite score for admission and scholarship decisions.

- There will be a $25 fee for registering late for the ACT. Students who meet the free/reduced lunch guidelines are eligible for a fee waiver. Waivers and practice test books available in Counseling, Rm 222

- Most local 2-year community colleges require students take the Accuplacer. They will usually accept the ACT and SAT instead. Wait until January through March to take it.
- Computerized assessment used for placement into Math & English. Sections may be taken individually or together. Takes about two hours total to complete, but untimed. Make an appointment OR walk-in – offered at all MCC testing locations.
