Mrs. Alyssa Krogstrand

Alyssa Krogstrand has been selected as the Director of Counseling for Westview High School.  Alyssa has worked in various high schools as a school counselor for over a decade, highlighted by securing $1M+ grants for her school and leading a complete revision of the School Counseling model utilized by all schools in the State of South Dakota. Alyssa loves working with kids in the classroom setting as well as supporting our students in their activities, including finding new and innovative ways to enhance the high school experience for all learners. Alyssa currently officiates volleyball, cheer and dance competitions across the Region and State and has been selected to officiate postseason and State Championship competitions in the past. Alyssa's husband, John, works as the Director of Athletics for Omaha Public Schools. They have two wonderful children - Mitchell and Rebecca - who currently attend OPS Elementary.

Mrs. Megan Kuhn

Megan Kuhn is the records counselor at Omaha Westview High School. She has served Omaha Public Schools as a Futures Specialist in the Multiple Pathways programs of Accelere, Independent Studies, and Gateway to College and been a school counselor and dual enrollment coordinator at Omaha Virtual School, the UNO/OPS Middle College, and Parrish program. Mrs. Kuhn is excited to work with the students, families, and community of Westview High School and is focused on creating a safe and uplifting environment conducive to student success. In her free time, Mrs. Kuhn enjoys hiking 14,000-foot mountains, learning Spanish, visiting schools and hospitals with her certified therapy dog, Blue, and spending time with her husband, Matt, and son, John

Blue is the Westview Therapy Dog. She is a Chocolate Lab and a very good girl! She is excited to start working with our students!
