Ms. Mollie Thompson

Mollie was born and raised in Grand Island. She received her bachelor's in athletic training from Nebraska Wesleyan, and then went on to nursing school at UNMC- College of Nursing. The majority of her 11-year nursing career was spent in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Last year, Mollie made the jump to school nurse as a member of the Morton Middle School team. She is looking forward to keeping the Wolverine students safe, healthy, and ready to learn!

    School nurses offer a range of services to meet the emotional, mental and physical health of the students in the district including:

    • Management of health conditions
    • Emergency planning and implementation
    • First aid and emergency care
    • Communicable disease prevention and control

    • Connecting families to health and wellness resources

    • Support student's IEPs, Individualized Health Care Plans and 504 plans
