Mr. Jeremy Nielsen

Director's Bio:

Mr. Jeremy Nielsen serves as Principal/Program Director of Career Center.  Career Center endeavors to increase student career readiness and preparedness for life after high school. Career Center.  Our goal is to connect today's students with tomorrow's careers.  Career Center prides itself as a destination for hands-on learning for careers in the trades, health care, and IT/communications fields.  We know that in order to address the workforce challenge we face today, it can only be done in collaboration with involved community and industry partners. 

Prior to Career Center, Mr. Nielsen served as Omaha Public Schools Supervisor of Secondary Partnerships with Career Education, in the District Curriculum, Instruction, & Support department.  Mr. Nielsen led the district's effort to increase partnerships with postsecondary, community, and industry partners.  Mr. Nielsen served as Lead Teacher for Dual Enrollment and Digital Citizenship.  These roles provided opportunities to build partnerships with postsecondary institutions and act as Regional Manager for national non-profit Common Sense Media.  Prior to the district administrative positions, Mr. Nielsen was a Secondary CTE teacher at Bryan High School and began his teaching career at Northwest High School.
