• Workplace Learning Experiences

    Career Center allows community employer partners to plug-in to our pathways and increase engagement opportunities with students.

     

    Industry, Community, and Education partners can use our Workplace Experiences Plan to identify how to begin to better connect students.  From Guest Speaking events to Job Shadows to Paid Internships - Employers can choose how they connect!     Awareness Strategies

    Guest Speakers - be a guest speaker by contacting our office or the pathway teacher directly

    Career Fair        - consider a vendor table to build connections with students; recruit and identify your future workforce

    Hiring Fair          - consider a vendor table and send your HR team to conduct on-site screening interviews

     

    Exploration Strategies

    Field Trips.          - consider hosting our students at your place of business for tours, micro-job shadows, and information sessions.

    Job Shadows.     - host a student or two with a mentor for a morning, afternoon, or evening.

    Simulation.          - come to our school or host our students at your business for interactive learning sessions where students can do hands-on skills.

     

    Work-Based Learning Strategies (Paid Internships)

    Paid Internships.  - identify and hire our skilled students for internships during the school year or summer

    Sponsorships.      - identify and hire our skilled students for a paid internship and sponsorship for continued training, great recruitment and retention strategy for employers!

    Apprenticeships.  - identify and hire/select our skilled students for a registered apprenticeship; great for recruitment and retention as well!
