After School Tutoring

  • Nathan Hale is proud to offer both High Dosage Tutoring and Drop-In tutoring during the week. Drop-in tutoring takes place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the library at Nathan Hale until 5:00 p.m. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, staff is available to assist students with Reading, English-Language Arts, and Social Studies. Staff is available on Wednesdays for Math assistance. Drop-In tutoring is meant to assist students with current coursework questions and concerns.

High Dosage Tutoring would see students assigned to specific tutors for assistance with English-Language Arts and Math. Students would meet with the same tutor at least twice a week for assistance with current coursework as well as bolstering their confidence is other areas identified for improvement. High Dosage Tutoring is available Tuesday-Thursday for English-Language Arts and Tuesday and Thursday for Math.

Students who attend tutoring and ride the bus to and from school are eligible to ride the late bus.  They need to sign up for the late bus during lunch on the days they plan to attend tutoring.  Students who walk or get rides to school will need to arrange for transportation on the nights they plan to stay for tutoring.

Please contact Andrew Samson at andrew.samson@ops.org or 531-299-7018 if you have questions or would like to sign your student up for High Dosage Tutoring.
