UPDATED: 2024 Graduation Dates and Traffic Guidance for Baxter Arena
May 21, 2:20 p.m. Update:
Tuesday morning’s storm led to a water main break near Baxter Arena, interrupting the power and water supply to the building.
Because the arena cannot currently host an event and reflecting our commitment to safety, Bryan High's graduation ceremony has been rescheduled for Friday, May 24, at 2 p.m. Central High's graduation ceremony has been rescheduled for Friday, May 24, at 7 p.m.
Center Street will be closed through the coming weeks for repair work. For each commencement at Baxter Arena, attendees will need to arrive from the south on Arbor Street or Spring Street. Click here to download a copy of the map.

- Central High: 7 p.m.
Public doors will open 1 hour prior to graduation start time.
Live streams begin approximately 15 minutes before the event.
Bryan and Northwest will have a non-student day; staff will work in their building in the morning and support graduation in the afternoon.
Attendees will not need a ticket to enter graduation events.
Clear bags are not required, however all bags will be checked at the arena doors. Guests needing accessibility accommodations should contact info@baxterarena.com
Graduates should not bring any items into the arena. Have family and guests hold on to bags and coats during the ceremony. You will be directed outside the area immediately following the ceremony and should meet guests outside for photos.
Please note the following items are prohibited at Baxter Arena:
- Any type of weapon, fake weapon or object resembling a weapon
- Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances and vaporizing pens
- Smoking materials and electronic cigarettes
- Laser pointing devices
- Drones
- Hover boards, Heelys, skateboards and rollerblades
- Artificial noise-making devices of any kind including whistles and air horns
- Balloons, vases or confetti
- Fireworks, pyrotechnics and aerosols
- Outside food and beverage (20 oz. or smaller empty clear plastic bottles will be allowed for water)
- Animals except for service animals
- Any item deemed to compromise public safety
