• Nayera Abdessalam of North High for earning a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship.
• Noemi Gilbert of Central High for receiving superior honors in news writing at the National JEA Convention. 
• Esbeidy Zayas Vargas of OPS Middle College for receiving the Goodrich Scholarship from the University of Nebraska Omaha. 
• McMillan Middle’s students who won the Academic Pentathlon State Competition and will advance to the National Competition.
