I would like to welcome you to the Tigernation. Kennedy is a warm and welcoming school, committed to learning and growth. We are excited to have you visit our website and to share information with you about our school and all the wonderful things happening here.

Howard Kennedy Elementary has an enrollment of approximately 280 students in Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.

Our teachers and staff at Howard Kennedy Elementary are dedicated, creative, and enthusiastic.  They hold high expectations for students and strive to improve student achievement through our extended day, project-based learning, tiered interventions and special opportunities throughout the school year.

We value the support and input of our parents and community and encourage a cooperative partnership with the school.  We will create a community of learners with the combined efforts of students, staff, parents, and the community.

Howard Kennedy is a great school with a positive learning environment.  I am proud to be a part of it.

DEAN OF STUDENTS

With great pleasure, I serve as an instructional coach for Kennedy. My focuses are STEAM integration, Project-Based Learning instructional framework and technology integration.  Utilizing professional learning communities, I collaborate with our teachers and connect them to our specialist team (PE, Art, library, etc…), community partners and real-life experts to support their educational experiences.

I also sponsor many of our student clubs and opportunities, such as: Student News, Student Tech Committee, Culinary, Tigerponics (aquaponic program for students), Girls in STEAM and Robotics. The unique opportunities Kennedy provides its students is truly amazing. 

Previously, I worked as a 5th grade teacher, 2nd grade teacher and elementary subsitute teacher in northeast Nebraska. My passion for education led me to work towards two master's degrees in curriculum and instructional design and STEAM integrated education.
