The Lewis and Clark Middle School IB Community is dedicated to creating inquisitive and compassionate global citizens by establishing life-long learners who are productive citizens , developing intercultural understanding and respect, providing rigorous, multidisciplinary instruction, and contributing to the larger community.

Lewis & Clark Middle School is the proud home of the Trailblazers! We take pride in our motto of "We Not Me!"  We prioritize working together, as a team of educators, families, and community partners, to best support all of our students utilizing the OPS Portrait of a Graduate framework.

What does it mean to be a Trailblazer?

A Trailblazer is a pioneer, somebody who's willing to take risks and forge a new path. Trailblazers are leaders who leave a path for others to follow. A Lewis and Clark Trailblazer is someone who strives to possess the personal qualities of strength, courage, and resilience, leading to a relentless pursuit of their goals.

Tradition of Excellence

Lewis and Clark holds true to our "Tradition of Excellence," and we are committed to ensuring that all individuals in our building are treated fairly and with respect.  We strive to provide a positive and caring school experience where students feel known, loved, and inspired.

In addition to developing our students to possess the OPS Portrait of a Graduate traits, as an International Baccalaureate (IB) MIddle Years Program School, Lewis and Clark students and staff strive to embody a variety of traits that are represented in the (IB) Learner Profile, including being productive global citizens who develop intercultural understanding and respect. At Lewis & Clark, our staff work hard to provide rigorous, multidisciplinary instruction, that allow students to achieve at the highest level and contribute to the larger community. 

Education is a joint venture between school and home, and we believe our students' families play a vital role in the success of the Lewis and Clark community.

At Lewis & Clark Middle School, we focus on the Blazer Big 3 - Academics, Behavior, and Community. By prioritizing each of those areas, our students have the opportunity to become well-rounded, high-achieving, civic contributors who will represent themselves and the Blazer Nation throughout their educational journey and beyond.
