PRINCIPAL

Dear Wildcat Family,

My name is Alicia Gillespie and I am the Principal at Washington Elementary. I am a proud Omaha Public Schools graduate and I have spent my entire career with OPS. I have been a classroom teacher, Instructional Facilitator, School Support Liaison and Assistant Principal during my tenure.

Washington Elementary offers special services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This includes three deaf education classrooms and the support of sign language interpreters.

We are proud to have a strong partnership with our PTO. They provide many activities and resources for all of our students and staff. I appreciate their dedication and encourage you to participate.

My passion is ensuring that all students are making progress academically, socially and emotionally. I enjoy building strong relationships with students, staff and families. I believe when we work together, our students will succeed in all that they do. My door is always open and I look forward to a successful school year! Go Wildcats!
