Conestoga Magnet Center opened its doors to students back on September 7, 1965. Construction began in 1963 at a cost of $877,000. The building is 57,200 square feet and is located on a piece of land that measures 9 acres!!
Conestoga was a K-6 environment until 1977. In September of 1977, we began our desegregation plan and became a K-3 learning center. This continued until 1999, when the Omaha Public Schools decided to return to the system of neighborhood schools. In August of 1999, Conestoga became and continues to be a K-6 elementary school.
