PRINCIPAL

My name is Ty Hottovy and I am beyond proud to be the Principal at Catlin Arts Magnet School. I hold a bachelor’s degree in in music education, a master’s degree in music, and an administrative endorsement, all from the University of Nebraska. In December, I will have completed my Ed Specialist’s degree and will begin work on my doctoral dissertation.

Prior to my position at Catlin Arts, I served for five years as an Elementary School Principal with the Westside Community Schools, five years as an Assistant Principal with Millard Public Schools, and I taught PK-5 General Music in Millard and Houston for seven years.

In my spare time, I enjoy performing many styles of music, staying active through hiking and pickleball, and traveling with my lovely wife of 15 years and two children.
