PRINCIPAL

Hello! I am thrilled to be the principal at Saddlebrook Elementary. I began teaching in 2008 at Miller Park Elementary. Throughout my time in Omaha Public Schools, I have taught 1st and 4th grade, coached teachers at all levels, assisted principals on school improvement and worked in Curriculum and Instruction Support, specializing in English Language Arts and Social Studies. My goal is to create an environment where teachers want to teach, families want to send their children, and every student can succeed. I am dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous growth, where curiosity and passion for learning are celebrated, and every individual is empowered to reach their full potential. By collaborating with the community, families, and staff, we can ensure that all students are successful.

When I am not being a principal, I love spending time with my family. I have three daughters who keep my husband and me very busy. They are active in many activities, like volleyball, basketball, softball, and soccer. My hobbies are reading, swimming, spending time with friends and family, and watching the Hawkeyes play.

INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITATOR

Mrs. Dutcher has been with Omaha Public Schools for her entire career. She has taught many different grade levels throughout her career at different schools within OPS. She was a 5th grade teacher at Saddlebrook for many years before she took over the Instructional Facilitator Position in 2020. She also serves as our Student Assistance Team (SAT) Coordinator and has been the Summer School Principal for Saddlebrook. 

She has two grown children, Gregory and Grayce and she is married to Mr. Dutcher, who is a Sergeant at Douglas County Corrections. She is a huge fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs!  She loves her Saddlebrook family and enjoys working with both the staff and students at Saddlebrook!
