I am thrilled and proud to be the principal of Indian Hill Elementary! Each day the Indian Hill staff happily opens our doors and serves children in kindergarten through sixth grade. I look forward to meeting each and every child and family and beginning the new school year!

It is through teamwork, dedication to continuous improvement, and open communication we can continue to make Indian Hill Elementary a place of belonging where children develop into lifelong learners that extend well beyond the elementary years. I have been part of the Omaha Public Schools since 2016. I attended Iowa State University where I received my undergrad and received my master’s in educational leadership in the spring of 2023 from Doane University. Teaching is my passion! As a teacher, I taught all intermediate grades. Before I became the proud Assistant Principal of Indian Hill, I worked as our Instructional Facilitator. I value relationships with staff and students, and I strive to inspire, motivate, and support all!

Ms. Kate Alseth

INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITATOR

Hello! I am so happy to be back at Indian Hill in the role of Instructional Facilitator and I look forward to working with all of our incredible staff, students, and families. I have been in education for over 20 years. During my time at OPS, I have had the opportunity to work at multiple schools as an intermediate classroom teacher, school librarian, middle school language arts teacher, and a District Literacy Facilitator. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Creighton University and my Masters degrees in Literacy Education and Educational Leadership from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. My interests include reading, writing, travel, outdoor adventures, and spending time with friends and family.
