Highland Elementary school serves students pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Small class size and the assistance of educational paraprofessionals and supplemental resource programs provide an ideal learning environment for every child. These supplemental programs include special education, gifted and talented, guidance and counseling, mathematics, reading, and English as a Second Language. Computer technology is also used to enhance the curriculum for students. Every classroom has a link to the Internet, providing a world of information immediately available to students. The parent-teacher association and school-business partners are also fully involved in providing support for the educational programs.
