PRINCIPAL

Mrs. Melany Fullenkamp is a 27-year veteran of the Omaha Public Schools. She began her career in education as an English as a Second Language teacher at Marrs Middle School and has been an OPS building administrator for the past 20 years. Mrs. Fullekamp holds a Bachelor of Art in English Education degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with an emphasis in teaching EL students, and a Master of Science in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  This is Mrs. Fullenkamp's 8th year at Edison, where Every Day is a Good Day to be an Eagle!

At Edison every one of our students has very special academic and social gifts.  These gifts are seen on a daily basis in the way that they work hard in the classroom in reading, writing and math.  They are also seen in the way that they display character by focusing on the six character traits:  Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.

Edison teachers work hard to plan lessons and activities that include current best practices for engaging students in learning.  We believe in the success of every student and work hard to meet the diverse needs of our students.
