PTO FAQs

  • What is the PTO?

The PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is a group of families and school staff who work together to support students, organize activities, and strengthen our school community.

Do I need to speak English to participate?

No. We do our best to provide information and meetings in multiple languages, and we want all families to feel welcome and included, no matter what language is spoken at home.

Do I have to attend every meeting?

Not at all. You can participate whenever you’re available. There is no requirement to attend every meeting.

Are meetings in person or online?

Both! You can choose to attend school in-person, at school, or join online through Microsoft Teams. We always share the link ahead of time.

Do I have to commit for the whole year?

No. You can help once, every now and then, or whenever you have time. Participation is completely flexible.

What if I only have 15–30 minutes to help?

That’s perfect! Some days you may only have a few minutes, and other days a little more time. Every bit of help makes a difference.

    Can I help from home?

Yes! There are many ways to help from home, such as:

    • Preparing materials

    • Making phone calls or sending messages

    • Sharing ideas or giving feedback

Will I only be asked to help, or can I share my ideas too?

We want to hear your ideas! The PTO is not just about asking for help—it’s a space for families to share opinions, suggest activities, and be part of the decisions. Your voice matters.

What kind of help does the PTO need?

    • Volunteers for school events

    • Organizing raffles, fundraisers, or campaigns

    • Support with communication or social media

    • One-time or occasional help (even small tasks!)

    • And most importantly—new ideas!

Does it cost money to join the PTO?

No. Being part of the PTO is completely free.

How can I join or learn more?

You can talk to any PTO member, attend a meeting, or fill out the interest form right here on the website. We’d love to have you involved!
