Welcome to Wakonda! My name is Erin Blaha. As principal of Wakonda, I get to welcome approximately 250 smiling faces each day! Our staff serves students in PreK-Fifth Grade. They work tirelessly to engage students in learning to think critically and solve problems in reading, writing, math, social studies and science knowing that they are preparing them for a very different world than the one they grew up in! We have been awarded a School Improvement Grant so we have an extended day and are able to provide engagement and understanding through technology and the use of data.

The work we do, could not be done without the support of our parents and community partners! Our PTO members and countless volunteers from several community organizations spend hours in our classrooms working with students or behind the scenes to make sure various events go off without a hitch. It is evident that "it takes a village!" Wakonda Wildcats community is second to none!
