Mrs. Griger

My name is Mary Griger and I am thrilled and proud to serve as principal. It is an honor to be part of a community of highly experienced and skilled educators. Field Club has a long standing tradition of academic success and positive community involvement. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to continue this tradition.

I have served the Omaha Public School district since 2007 as a first and sixth grade teacher, assistant principal, and principal. After graduating high school from Northwest, I went on to receive my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Creighton University and Master’s degree in Elementary Administration from Concordia University. I have two daughters who also attend OPS schools.

Here at NEU Field Club, we believe we are better together. When the school staff and family work together, students will thrive. The staff at Field Club support the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students. Field Club is a place where everyone is respected, hard work is recognized, and every individual valued. I believe that every student that walks through our school doors can learn and deserves the very best we can offer. Together we are building students of character on their way to college!

I look forward to working as a team to maintain the high rigor of academic excellence at NEU Field Club!

If there is anything you need to help your student(s) feel success at NEU Field Club, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

Mary Griger

Mr. Jeff Rotherham

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

My name is Jeff Rotherham and I am the assistant principal of No Excuses University (NEU) Field Club Elementary, home of the Falcons!

All members of our school community are committed to encouraging and challenging our students through rigorous academic programming which will prepare the way for college. We are continuously striving to grow our parent and community support systems to help our students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. You are invited to join us in making that happen for our future. Please feel free to stop in anytime, the door is always open for positive collaboration!

I started my career with the Omaha Public schools in 1993. I spent 12 years as a vocal music teacher in various schools and grade levels ranging from early childhood through 8th grade. I switched to teaching elementary technology in 2005, and in 2016 became Assistant Principal at Liberty Elementary. I have loved every bit of my teaching career and learned something from every experience which has made me the person I am today.

I hold a Bachelor of Music Education (vocal/instrumental K-12) from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln; a Masters in Education Administration and Supervision from the University of Nebraska at Omaha; a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in technology from Peru State College; and an endorsement in English as a Second Language from Concordia University.

I’m married to a high school counselor and we have 3 rescue dogs. We also love to travel and ride our Harley-Davidson motorcycles every chance we get!

I look forward to working with all members of our NEU Field Club family to continue our quest for academic excellence. Remember, "College is not a dream, it's a plan."
