Belle Ryan Elementary School is located at 1807 S. 60th St. Belle Ryan Elementary opened in 1953 and was named after the former Assistant Superintendent of the Omaha Public Schools. In 2016, the original building was demolished to create more space for students, and in 2018 Belle Ryan re-opened with a new building.
The student body consists of children in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Current enrollment is approximately 300 students. Along with the regular instructional curriculum, additional supports for our students include resource, speech, English Language Learners, Alternate Curriculum Program, and Early Childhood Special Education.
Belle Ryan’s mission is to foster a positive learning community where all are inspired to grow and reach their full potential. The school’s vision is to create a compassionate inclusive community of lifelong learners. Open communication between home and school plays a strong role in accomplishing our mission and vision. Belle Ryan Elementary has a strong and active relationship with our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) which provides additional financial and volunteer support for our students and staff.
Our staff prides itself on being a strong team of educators working to support our students, community, and each other. Go Bulldogs!!!
