- Develop skills that will help you be successful
Session One: Introduction to AP
July 12–15, 2022
9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Session one is intended for students who are new to taking an AP course. This could be a student who is enrolled for a course this fall, or who is considering an AP course in the 2023-24 school year.
Students will experience the following:
- UNO college tour and information
- Sample AP course lessons
- Leadership skill seminars
- Skill development of time management, college-level reading, note-taking and studying
- How to use your AP exam scores in college
Session Two: AP Skills Camp
July 26–29, 2022
9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (optional 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. extension)
Session two is intended for students who are currently enrolled in AP courses and want to enhance their skills. This could be a student who has already taken an AP course or one who is getting ready to take their first course this year. This week will be much more skill-based for specific AP courses to increase success.
Students will experience the following:
- UNO college tour and information
- Expectations for next year’s AP courses
- Skills for the specific AP courses you plan to take
- Leadership skills
