What’s happening at school this week?
1. iPads are not available to use from 11:30pm – 5:30am for high school students.
2. Students MUST Park in the west parking lot with a permit.
3. Attention drivers! If you are driving to and from school and do not have a parking permit, please see Ann in the treasurer's office, under the spiral staircase. You must have your parent/guardian sign the application and bring it in with a copy of your registration and driver's license. Permits are $20.
4. Dismissal Information – All students, not in an activity or sport, must exit the building by 3:15 PM. Once you leave, you will not be allowed reentry. *We will consider extreme weather changes.*
a. Drop Off – Parents/Guardians must drop students off in the west parking lot. This is the side where the football stadium is located. The east lot is reserved for buses and staff parking.
b. Pick Up – Parents/Guardians must pick up students in the west parking lot. West parking lot traffic will go north only. The east lot is reserved for buses only, and traffic will go south.
5. Activity Late Bus has started. Use the QR Code found in the cafeteria and main office.
a. You must use your own iPad/device to sign up.
b. Only students who qualify for transportation will receive a late bus.
c. You must sign up by 2:00 PM each day. *If no one signs up, the bus will be cancelled.*
d. Late buses do not leave until 5:15 PM.
e. If you finish your activity earlier than 5:00 PM, please, call for a ride.
f. If you do not attend your selected activity and/or wander around the halls unsupervised, you will lose late bus privileges.

Academics News
The Teacher Scholar Academy - a partnership between OPS and UNO that provides scholarship assistance for students - is accepting applications until Tuesday, April 16. The scholarship is worth $10,000 each year and is stackable with other scholarships! Please see the attached flyer for more information and the QR code to apply!
2. National Honor Society forms are now available to all eligible sophomores and juniors. Application forms are attached here, can be picked up in the library, from Mr Kevin Anderson, from Mr Kimminau, from most of the current NHS members, or you can email (Kevin.Anderson@ops.org) or (Thomas.Kimminau@ops.org). Completed forms are due April 6th.
3. Friendly reminder that Credit Recovery is up and running on Tuesdays and Wednesdays ONLY from 3:15-5:00 p.m. All current credit recovery courses will need to be completed by 3:00 on Friday, May 3rd to earn credit. Reach out to Mrs. Weller if you believe you need a course added to credit recovery and are ready to start staying after-school!

1. This Saturday, come and buy some of our gently used items at a Garage Sale supporting the Performing Arts at Northwest. Clothing, audio gear, costume pieces, and more! The sale will be on Saturday, March 30, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. See flyer.
2. The military service academies provide a unique opportunity not only to service our country as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Armed Forces, but also to earn a top-notch education at one our nation’s elite institutions, tuition-free. Congressman Bacon’s office will be hosting representatives from each of the service academies for a free informational seminar on Saturday, March 30th, at Omaha North’s Viking Center from 9am-12pm. Attendees will gain insights about the application and nomination processes to the service academies, as well as 2 the rigorous academic programs and daily life of a cadet. We invite interested applicants to join the ranks of impactful and prominent alumni including former U.S. Presidents, Members of Congress, Generals, NASA Astronauts, CEOs, Nobel Prize Winners, and more. 3. Requirements to Attend 2024 Prom:
a. No violent infractions per the student code of conduct
b. Less than 10 unexcused absences for the Spring Semester
c. Non- NW guests will need to complete a permission form.
d. No guests over the age of 19.
4. Are you a Junior or Senior interested in running for Prom Royalty? Applications are due Friday, April 5th and found in the main office. Questions? See Mrs. Jahns.
5. Sepak Takraw will meet on Friday, March 29th.
6. The Northwest Food Pantry is open to any Northwest family, no questions asked. Parent/Guardian or Student may access the pantry by scheduling an appointment with Mrs. Coyne, School Social Worker, at 531-299-9440 or Danielle.Keller@ops.org.
7. Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) will meet on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in room 201. Questions? Email Ms. VanWanzeele (Meghan.VanWanzeele@ops.org).
8. Bible Club meets every Wednesday from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in room 250. Everyone is welcome! Pray for each other, our school, and our community.
