Homecoming Dance: October 12

Time: 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Location: Burke High School

Tickets: $10 per person; Tickets go on sale September 30 through October 7 and can be purchased during the lunch blocks at the Treasurer’s Office.  

Guests: Allowed with completion of a pre-approval form

Timelines: September 30-October 7: Forms for outside guests will be available in the assistant principal’s office and due by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7.

Guidelines for attendance to Burke High Homecoming Dance:

This year, we are implementing guidelines for attending our Homecoming dance that support our focus on maintaining good attendance in school. Students who have missed more than 3 days of unexcused absences of school on or before October 7 will not be eligible to purchase a ticket to attend our dance.

Parents and/or guardians should contact our attendance office to notify the school of student absences at 531-299-2619 or email Burke-attendance@ops.org

Unexcused absences are absences when no one has contacted the school, or the school has been unable to confirm the reason for the absence, or the school has not confirmed the reason for the absence. 

The single most important factor contributing to student achievement is school attendance. Burke High School strongly believes that daily attendance is critical to academic success and social and emotional well-being. Students are expected to be in school regularly, on time and remain present the entire day.
