Sahar Gul Nikzad

I am originally from Afghanistan and currently live in Omaha, Nebraska, with my family of five. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Herat University in Afghanistan. After the collapse of the Afghan government, I immigrated to the U.S. in October 2023. In November 2023, I began attending classes at the English Learner Family Involvement Program. Since, 2025, I work as a family literacy bilingual aide in the same program. In this role, I support English instructors in the classroom and help prepare children for kindergarten. I am passionate about education and committed to supporting immigrant families. Having experienced this transition myself, I understand the challenges and am dedicated to helping others navigate their journey with confidence. I speak Dari and Persian.
