Curriculum & Instruction Support

The Curriculum and Instruction Support (CIS) team leads the vision, development, and implementation of comprehensive academic programming for all Omaha Public Schools students, from birth through age 21.
We advance a full continuum of learning experiences—including core, early childhood, special education, multilingual learner services, advanced academics, fine arts, world languages, career education, athletics, and co‑curricular programs—so every student experiences meaningful, high‑quality learning.
Through curriculum adoption and review, CIS provides high‑quality instructional materials and promotes strong, evidence‑based implementation across all content areas, contributing to instruction that is consistent, engaging, and aligned to state standards throughout the district.
CIS is unwavering in our commitment to all students reading on grade level by 2030, driven by a deep conviction that all students are readers who deserve daily opportunities to read and write in every classroom.
Our work helps every student—across every school—access a coherent and engaging academic experience.
