 Program

Welcome to Bryan High’s Gifted and Talented Education Program.  It is the mission of the Office of Gifted and Talented Education to recognize and identify gifted and exceptionally talented students, support their social/emotional development and enhance their curriculum experience so that these unique individuals may reach their fullest potential.

Curriculum

Bryan offers a rigorous and relevant academic program along with differentiated instruction strategies that challenges the high ability learner.  A variety of Honors and AP classes provide multiple opportunities for students to take greater responsibility for their learning.  They are designed to demand more challenging involvement than standard courses.  Students who take honors courses aspire to a higher level of learning.  High interest courses are also available for students to explore individual interests. Theses classes can be taken as electives.

Opportunities

There are other opportunities at Bryan High that exist inside and outside the classroom for students identified in one or more of the five areas of giftedness: Intellectual, Academic, Visual and Performing Arts, Creativity and Leadership.  Other opportunities include:  independent study, e-learning, dual enrollment through the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  High ability learners have the chance to work far above that of typical high school students.
