Welcome to Gifted and Talented Education  with Mrs.Carruthers

I am currently serving Franklin on days 1/6, Castelar on days 3/8. Adams on days 4/9 and Kellom on days 5/10 as the Gifted and Talented Education Facilitator. I have worked in the field of education for over 35 years.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a Masters degree in Resource and Special Education, an endorsement in ESL and and endorsement in Gifted and Talented Education. Students qualify for Gifted and Talented services by achieving high test scores or by teacher nominations based on classroom performance.  The students have scheduled classes once a week.  Specialized G/T instruction includes but is not limited to, math, language arts. critical thinking and creative enrichment activities using the G/T framework.  Please feel free to contact me at anytime with questions, comments or concerns.
