What is Infinite Campus?
Infinite Campus is a Student Information System (SIS) that provides the integrated tools to streamline student administration.
Why are we making the switch to Infinite Campus?
There are several reasons why the Omaha Public Schools is switching to Infinite Campus:
- The system is web-based, so educators, parents, and students will have access to information anywhere, any time.
- The system will serve as a district-wide data warehouse, allowing student data to be entered once and used across the entire district to support data-driven decision making.
- Our current Student Information System (SIS) will no longer be supported after the 2009 School Year.
- Special Education functionality is included as a part of the core application.
- The Electronic Elementary Grade Book will allow elementary grades to be posted electronically.
The OPS Training Model
Core Team – The Core Team will consist of key district personnel who will be responsible for the full functionality, administration, and security of the system.
Building Coach – The Building Coach will be the key individual in the building who will be the first line of support for Infinite Campus.
Teacher Coach - The Teacher Coach will be the first line of support for the teaching staff in the school building.
