Information for Ordering Lesson Plan Materials
Description: The A+OPS lesson-planning format is designed to address Aim 1 (High Student Achievement) of the Omaha Public Schools. This format uses the acronym A+OPS to represent four components of an effectively structured lesson with A+ representing the Anticipatory set; O, the lesson Objective(s); P, the Procedures of instruction; and S, the Summary or closure of the lesson.
In an effort to add flexibility to the lesson planning process, teachers may choose from four versions of the A+OPS format:
1) Wire Bound Notebook: Specify either 6 Period (Elementary), 8 Period (MS/HS), or Block Schedule Plan Books
2) Loose-leaf Notebook: Order a Cover Page, Overleaf Set and Planning Forms (as listed below) for each 3-ring binder.
3) Internet Version: Register at http://info2.ops.org/plans/registration.php.
4) Floppy Disc Version: Specify Mac or PC format.
How to Order Lesson Plan Materials: Order materials using the Peoplesoft identification numbers indicated above the photos.
Note: The Stickers used with the A+OPS Lesson Plans (Content Standards, EXCELS PLUS, Calendar and Marzano) are sent to schools each August from the Department of Curriculum & Learning and are not part of the Annual Order Process. If additional stickers are needed, please contact Lynn Christensen (557-2406).
