Norris Middle School Physical Education

Norris Middle School will be on a block schedule this year. Students will be in each class, including Physical Education, for approximately 90 minutes every other day. In Physical Education we will be spending part of each class period in a classroom setting doing written work and part in the gymnasium, pool and weight room for activity. Students will be expected to be prepared with paper and something to write with each day. In addition:
All students are required to dress out and participate on a daily basis. Students have three clothing options:
Bring your own uniform from home (Five inch seam on shorts, full cut shirts).
Buy a uniform from Norris (quantities are limited).
Borrow a uniform from Norris P.E. Department to be returned at the end of the year.
All students are required to swim unless excused by a physician. A parent note will not be accepted.
Students will be graded on the following:
Participation
Behavior
Apparel
Tardiness and Attendance
Students are reminded not to bring any valuables to the locker room or gymnasium.
Students are assigned a locker to store your valuables in during class. If you choose not to use it, you risk
having them stolen.
Teachers are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
