
Wendy Hirschfeld enters her 12th year of teaching and coaching and her 4th year at Norris Middle School. She is a native of the small town Benedict, Nebraska and comes from a huge farming background. She has grown up loving art and playing basketball so as you can see she is still doing what she loves. "My experience at Norris has been a great one and I look forward to another successful school year. I am currently teaching 7th grade art, head boys and girls basketball coach and the assistant girls track coach," says Hirschfeld.
Before Norris Middle School Hirschfeld taught art and was the head women's basketball coach for Northeastern Junior College for six years. Prior to Northeastern she taught 7th through 12th grade art at Dodge High School and Howells High School for three years. While there she coached 7th through 12th grade volleyball, basketball and track at Dodge High School in Dodge, Nebraska.
In 1993 she graduated from Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, Wyoming with an Associate of Applied Science degree and was a member of the basketball team. After graduating from EWC, she went on to Midland Lutheran College to continue playing basketball for three years and received a BA in K-12 Art Education with a minor in commercial art. In August of 2004 she completed her Master in Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Doane College.
