CLASS DESCRIPTION
Minimize

There is much to be learned and discovered through literature and writing.     

In 7th grade we will focus on the components of grammar, enticing literature, poetry, essays, as well as speeches.

In 8th grade the focus is on vivid descriptive writing, fascinating novels, lyrical poems, and so much more!

Both 7th and 8th grade students are asked to bring a notebook, pen or pencil, their agenda, as well as a free reading book. All materials are used within the class period.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

7th- Seventh Graders have just completed a poetry unit and are working hard on the six traits on writing. Students will be completing a practice writing assessment. Students are also working on a research project in the library that focuses on a variety of countries.

8th- Eighth Graders are beginning their research paper on inventors and inventions. This will involve a lot of computer based research. They are also working on How To speeches.
