Join the Quiz Bowl team to compete with other middle schools on academic knowledge.  Use your smarts in Math, English, Science and Social Studies.  Teams are starting to form.  Sign up in Ms. Allred's room, room 11.  We will start practicing Tuesday, September 8th.

Journalism:  This class is offered as an ELT classThe students have the privilege of producing their own publication, The Patriot Pride.  This will be distributed during CARE following the end of the class giving time for editing.  The grade depends on publishing at least two articles and completing daily assignments.  The Omaha World Herald is a partner in this class by providing instruction weekly by staff writers, editors, photographers and cartoonists.  Look for the publication the week of April 19th.

 

Bridge:  This class is offered as an ELT class.  The students use higher-level thinking, problem solving skills, improve their social skills as well as use their math knowledge all while playing the card game Bridge.  There is a guest teacher from the Omaha Bridge League that teaches the class daily.  A competition will conclude the class and there will be an opportunity for a city-wide competition in April.
