Course Description: This course will focus on several different facets of Physcial, Life, and Earth Science.
Content Standards:
01 Examine problems using scientific inquiry.
02 Integrate unifying concepts and processes in science
03 Investigate and examine properties and changes of properties in matter.
04 Investigate and describe the transfer of energy using simple machines
05 Develop an understanding of the structure and function of the human body
06 Examine processes that change the Earth's surface.
Course Requirements and Evaluation Criteria:
1. Homework 35% of total grade
2. Quizzes 25% of total grade
3. Test 25% of total grade
4. Labs 15% of total grade
Grading Scale:
A = 93% - 100%
B = 85% - 92%
C = 78% - 84%
D = 70% - 77%
F = 69% or less
