Student Council
We just cannot believe the school year is more than half over! Student Council has been busy since coming back from Winter Break. We sold Valentine Cookies for the holiday and had record sales. The profits earned will go towards an electronic marquee for the front of our building.
Beginning March 2 and lasting until April 1, our school will be involved in collecting Pennies for Leukemia. This is an annual tradition at our school where TREE classes try to out do each other collecting pennies. The fun comes in when other classrooms sabotage – using silver coins. Three winning classrooms are awarded donuts and juice, and this year we will have a Grand Prize winner who will earn lunch catered in from The Olive Garden. Make sure you find some pennies and loose change for student to bring to school during the month of March.
For your future planning, Student Council will be hosting another spirit week in April. Teachers enjoy those almost as much as the students! Towards the end of the school year, Student Council will be selling items in conjunction with the Yearbook Signing Party. This is always a bittersweet time when students realize just how fast the school year went.
We want to thank you for supporting Student Council this year!
