Student Council just can’t believe the school year is almost over. We have been very busy since coming back from Winter Break. We sold Valentine Cookies for the holiday and the profits will go towards building a marquee at the front of the building.

We moved into collecting Pennies for Leukemia during March. This is an annual tradition where TREE classes try to out do each other collecting pennies. Winning classes earn donuts and juice, and one Grand Prize Winner, earns lunch catered in from The Olive Garden. A huge thanks to our adopt-a-school bank, Mutual of Omaha Bank, for letting us run the coins through their sorting machine and writing us a check for the Leukemia Foundation.

As the school year comes to a close, Student Council sponsored a Spirit Week where students and staff alike dress in crazy socks, in favorite sport team shirts, and silly costumes from 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.

We want to thank all of you for support this school year. We couldn’t have accomplished anything without you.
