Computer Applications is a class that has been designed to help students learn the touch-type method of keyboarding. By the time students exit this class, they will have skills in keyboarding that will help them to increase productivity in their school career. They will learn skills that will improve over time and will be a huge asset to them as they enter the job market.
In this class, students will also learn the basics of word processing and spreadsheet. They will have the skills necessary for them to complete stories, complete reports of varying lengths, complete tables for reporting data, and prepare electronic journals. They will be able to prepare a spreadsheet and format that spreadsheet for easy readability.
Decision Science

The purpose of the Decision Science Courses at Morton Magnet Middle School is to provide all students with the strategies needed to become better decision makers using the six essential elements of the Decision Sciences model.
All students will:

Receive a basic foundation in the process of decision making.

Be introduced to the decision process in a manner appropriate to their grade level.

Evaluate the quality of a decision and be able to apply the information outside this course.

Be prepared to apply the decision science model to a specific problem and carry out the functions of making a decision.

Utilize research skills that allow them to complete all six elements in the Decision Science model.
