This year, we will be studying chemical properties of matter, simple machines, the human body & earth science. It should be a fun, eventful and engaging year. I am looking forward to it.

Chemistry

• Animal Metrics- Be an Entomologist for a day!
• Many hands-on labs exploring the chemical & physical properties of compounds- Feel like a real chemist!
• Consumer Reporting- Toughest Paper Towel Test

Simple Machines

• Invent a compound machine using simple machines.
• Participate in an Invention Convention
• Explore a Rube Goldberg Apparatus.

Human Body

• Dissect a frog.
• Dissect a squid.
• Dissect a sheep brain.
• Dissect a earthworm
• Dissect an owl pellet
• Create a public health video

Earth Science

• Apply to be on the Geocaching Expedition to Fontenelle Forest!
• Make Volcanoes.
• ** Launch a Balloon Satellite into space.
