NJHS Induction
The ceremony started with music being played by students in orchestra and band. Then the eighth graders that were inducted last year went on stage. Dr. Bigsby talked to the audience about how honored the inductees should feel. Following him were a few members on the society giving tributes and speeches. After that the soon to be members were called onto the stage one by one. They each received medals and certificates.
NJHS is only for sixth graders in their second semester through ninth grade. You have to maintain a 3.0 average. You have to volunteer and be a leader in school and other activities. You also have to have positive character qualities and be a good citizen.
If the members in NJHS keep up these requirements though ninth grade then the will be inducted into National Honor Society. Once someone is in NHS then they are qualified for scholarships and awards. There are also competitions that members can enter into to.

Only fifty percent of enrolled college students will graduate from that college and twenty-five percent of college students will transfer schools. Some jobs now do not require a degree from college or university, but a certain skill set and mindset.

Under the direction of Mrs.Harckleroad, the reading teacher, cheer squad is joined together. Forty-seven girls tried out only twenty-three made the squad. Harckleroad said that when she was younger she cheered as well. That inspired her to take the time and teach them all of the cheers and help come up with dances.
