The 19 Day Rule
The 19 Day Rule, many people know what it is. Some don’t know what it’s for. The 19 Day Rule suspends students for 19 days for having bad behavior. These students can’t come back for the rest of the year because it starts on the nineteenth day before school ends.
The 19 Day Rule isn’t really a rule. It’s actually a long term suspension system. It freezes a student’s grades for the rest of the year. When the next year comes, he or she the same grades from the previous year.
Most people think its very effective. Mrs.Hartman, Science teacher, says, “Its helps with classroom management, it separates the people with bad behavior from the people that want to learn.” It could be used for a consequence or a deterrent. Classes have shrunken because of the many suspend people. Some student’s parents have asked teachers to freeze their child’s grades.
The number of suspended kids is varied. The administrators are the only ones who can give this consequence. Their has been a lot of people gone because of it.
“We should keep this around because it has been very useful,” said Marisett, Assistant Principal.

A Christmas Carol is a classic story with the Scrooge and the three spirits.
