The Fundraiser
“I really want to get the limo ride!” Kayla Clarkson, 8 exclaimed.
She has a long way to go. Clarkson sold 7 items total. She has been doing fundraising for her school since third grade. “I wish I could have sold more,” said Clarkson.
The school fundraises with Cherrydale Farms. A variety of prizes are rewarded to kids who sell items. Those who sell at least 10 items get to attend the Big Blast Party. The party will include a DJ, games prizes, cast give-aways, and so much more. The official date of the party has not been scheduled but it will happen sometime after Winter Break. Fundraising started October 11 and ended October 25.
The school’s total amount of items sold was 1500 and 120 students sold. Over $14,500 was raised. That money will go toward school activities, miscellaneous classroom supplies, assignment notebooks, Parent-Teacher Conferences, student contests, field trips, performing arts, journalism, student clubs, student rewards, and staff appreciation. Only 3 students sold enough items to go on the limo ride. But 85 students will be attending the Big Blast Party. | Posted on Sunday, November 11, 2007 (Archive on Monday, January 01, 0001) Posted by Balentil Contributed by
