YVC
YVC
The Youth Volunteer Club has recently done a lot to help out the community. They have been involved in many extra-curricular activities. Not only have they held bake sales during conferences, visited the Humane Society and the Florence Nursing Home, but they have done so much more to help the community.
In the past few months, YVC members have recycled, made blankets for the homeless shelter, and helped out with the Spring Dance. In the future, they made ideas to go to the Madonna School to volunteer their spare time for those in special needs. “It’s really a great thing to get involved in because I am volunteering my time to help others,” Mady Kenny, 8, said.
It is not decided if they’re going to the Madonna School yet, but if they do, they plan to help with crafts, play outside, and help them with their life skills. On May 20, YVC met for their end of the year get together. They had a party and celebrate all that they had accomplished this year. “The best thing that we did this year was go to the Humane Society; it really started our year off,” Ms. Stevens, leader of the group, said.
