Joining Mr. Huber as the second student teacher this year is Mr. Knihal. Living with his wife, Amanda, and dog, Juno, knihal will soon graduate from U.N.O. in May. He's been assisting Mr. Beard for about three months now, learning how to become a history teacher.
He's been wanting to be a teacher since about two years ago, when he discovered that it may be something that he's good at. "I chose McMillan because i really like the kids, and because Mr. Beard was a good friend of mine beforehand," said Knihal.
Knihal was into various school activities when he was a student, like band, choir, football, soccer, and speech. He has many hobbies now like rock climbing and soccer. "I was an average A and B student, but at least I tried my hardest," said Knihal.
Knihal graduated from Gretna High School. In school, his favorite subject was science, but later he found that history intrigued him more. Knihal isn't assisting in any after school activities but is hoping that he may soon. "I would have to say that my sophomore history teacher Mr. Muler is my inspiration," said Knihal, "he applied everything to life."
