Teacher goes full time
Teacher goes full time

Juggling, history, and drama are just a few of Mr. Gellatly’s classes and activities.  He was a part time drama teacher the last two years. He became a full-time teacher with also taking on eighth grade social studies.

Gellatly went to school at Hasting College, while he earned his teaching degree. The first school he taught at was Gretna because they had an opening. Gellatly went to Phoenixville High School and had a B average there. He graduated in 1969. Gellatly has two daughters their names are 25 year old Shannon and 23 year old Emmy. Both daughters live in Lincoln. He has 2 grandchildren and they a 7 year old Kailey and 2 year old Tailyn.

In his free time he said he like to sit in his favorite and watch sports. Gellatly said the reason he came to McMillan was because they had an opening and he was not working at the time and he needed a job. Now that he is here he really likes the way teachers take the time to help the students with their work.

He also said he enjoys the principal and staff members that he works with.  He likes the student diversity at McMillan. He likes teaching Social Studies because he likes explaining to others about their history.
