Over Christmas break, students got together with the family and spent time together. Some students loved the part about opening presents on Christmas. Other students enjoyed the time they spent at the dinner table eating with their family or even going to church.
Renita Wright, 8, spent the holiday out of town with her sister. Every Christmas, she and her family get together and share their grandma’s stories. “It really brings our family closer together,” Wright said.
Every Christmas, Tia Goodwin, 7, loved shopping for Christmas gifts and celebrating Christmas day. Over break, Zoey Boothe, 7, spent Christmas in Atlanta with her family. Their favorite part about the holiday was opening and giving out presents.
On Christmas, Deamber Hulett, 8, celebrated the holiday by going to everybody’s house. Before the holiday, everyone in her family drew names, to decide who they have to buy presents for. “The best Christmas present I got this year was my digital camera,” Hulett said.
