Jump Start Camp

Jump start camp is a program for incoming seventh graders to see the school and experience some of the diversity, and get the feel for changing classes every ninety minutes, also to get the feel for some of the cirrocumuli and the teachers. The sessions go week by week, and everyday until about noon. If students more than two miles away from the school, they will provide transportation, which will give students an opportunity to meet new people.

Students in Mr. Mayburger’s B6 class have been preparing for months for the Society of American Military Engineers Competition. On April 28 they competed in the competition at the PKI Scott Convention Center at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. There were two different groups of students that presented their topics. The presentations consisted of a written paper, a slideshow, and physical models. Individual students presented different parts of each group’s presentation.

Once you pass the midtown area of Omaha heading south you will hit a good taco place every 1-3 blocks. Though some are better than others, but they will all have at least decent food.
