Middle School is a time for young people to not only develop and enhance their academic skills but begin to explore different subjects and to participate in a variety of activities which help them develop into well-rounded young adults.  

The staff at the McMillan Magnet Middle School is committed to the belief that all students can learn and succeed in a productive, orderly, safe and challenging learning environment. Our school's focus is on building a strong foundation of essential skills, developing critical thinking and problem solving skills while at the same time providing unique educational opportunities in the areas of technology, math, engineering, and communication arts.

McMillan students are expected to be good citizens and knowledgeable of their rights and privileges. They should also be aware of their responsibilities to themselves and to others in order to be contributing members of a changing society.

To help us achieve our goals, we encourage you to involve yourself in our children’s ongoing educational development. Close cooperation between students, staff, parents and the community is the key to enable students to reach their highest potential.
